Hello Richard,
My name is Jodi Cole. I was a friend of Jeannette and fellow founding member of the CTNIG. I am presently working on a project with the Richmond Hill Probus group who are interested in learning about Indigeneity. During that process I have been thinking a great deal of our dear friend and came across your blog about Jeannette. The reason I am writing is to ask if you can tell me or direct me to who could, to where Jeannette is buried? I hope to share this information with the other members of CTNIG who, like myself, remember and miss her.
Jodi Cole
Hi Jodi,
Good to hear from you.
Jeannette’s body was cremated and the ashes were scattered over Lake Ontario.
When you are thinking of Jeannette, if you ask her a question you may get an answer. That has been my experience. 🙂
Jeannette loved this short chant:
“Earth: my body
Water: my blood
Air: my breath
And fire: my spirit”
You can connect with the Spirit of Jeannette wherever you are. We are all One.
Blessed be.
